How refreshing to be out in the ‘sticks’ where the horizon is an all day sight, not one I need to get in the car to go find … where passersby wave or stop to check you are OK … where the sun and magpies wake you to crisp frosty air… where nightfall brings woodsmoke and squabbling parrots sorting their nightly perch, with log fires and cosy evenings creating soporific...
The second phase of my travels is over … a little sad, very rewarding, and yes, I could be persuaded to turn into an almost-grey-nomad without too much trouble at all. A couple of days to catch up in Cootamundra, then off to Gulgong for the long weekend … Henry Lawson Festival and many other delights await.
